What you'll be doing


This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Tax compliance team including the timely preparation, filing, and payment of sales and other indirect tax returns as well as related general ledger account reconciliations.

  • Timely prepare, file and pay state and local sales tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.

  • Reconcile associated general ledger accounts and ensure reconciling items are fully documented and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Request & examine sales tax exemption certificates from customers.

  • Research, interpret, and apply sales and use tax laws, regulations, and rulings across various jurisdictions.

  • Enter and maintain sales tax exemption certificates in OneSource Indirect Tax software.

  • Prepare & file business personal property tax returns.

  • Prepare & file business & mercantile license filings.

  • Annual report coordination with our registered agents.

  • Respond to state & local notice inquiries.

  • Assist with State and Local Tax Audits.

  • Complete special projects as assigned by supervisor.

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area preferred. 

  • 2+ years US and/or Global tax compliance experience. 

  • Fluent in English language.

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Onesource indirect ideally)

  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.

  • Individual must be well organized, reliable and action oriented.
