We are now looking for a Sales Manager at Hitachi Energy, Transformers business in Vaasa. In this role you will be responsible for sales of products within a designated market in accordance with our strategy. Our domestic sales team takes pride in ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the entire process. We make sure that things and tasks are executed on-time and with high quality. You will build long term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues, as well as identify and develop sales opportunities. This will be an exciting role for an experienced sales professional who is willing to develop and take his/her career to the next level. 

How you’ll make an impact

  • Sell products/systems to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned product group
  • Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process
  • Create added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy, and ensure the successful outcome of sales transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.
  • Ensure efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • Manage administrative procedures in sales processes, support domestic sales team and project management activities when needed.
  • Prepare offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department. Ensure appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

Your background

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering, ideally with a focus on electrical engineering
  • Sales and target driven and have good understanding of industry and utility customers and business drivers
  • Proven track record for successful consultative sales case
  • Understanding of transformers and system sales experience is an advantage
  • Pro-active mindset to self-initiate actions and taking decisions
  • A team player and excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making skills  
  • Adherence to deadlines, reliability and a structured working style
  • Strong awareness of contractual matters
  • Good understanding of the presentation and documentation of solutions, excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in Finnish and English
  • Willingness to travel (mainly in Finland)
