The ERP Applications Analyst Associate is tasked with performing work associated with analysis, design, configuration, implementation, operation, deployment, modification of processes and procedures in support of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation and maintenance. Assists in the design, configuration, and implementation of innovative solutions to support a variety of processes and initiatives within the designated workstream (either Human Capital Management [HCM], Finance [FIN] or Supply Chain Management [SCM]). This role reports to the ERP Workstream Manager as part of a multidisciplinary team bringing diverse perspectives to every challenge and serves as the subject matter expert for a functional area within the designated workstream, providing strategies, recommendations, and dependable analysis of complex issues.

- Participates in developing the configuration, process design, report development, testing, and may perform end user training for the ERP platform within their functional area. Provides technical and functional expertise to the Project team.
- Learns operational business processes and participates in recommending technology solutions to drive further optimization through the ERP platform. Performs ongoing reconciliations and audits of data to ensure data integrity. Makes recommendations to mitigate and avoid future system problems.
- Ensures milestones and deliverables for all assigned tasks are completed on time. Assists with the building ERP reports, dashboards, and scorecards including proficient use of calculated fields, charts and graphs. Researches integration failures, performs root cause analyses, and reports back to management.
- Assists with coordinating and performing system testing to ensure requirements are met and system upgrades/releases are implemented smoothly, including tracking and resolving all issues. Assists with post go-live operational support for the workstream technology.
- Participates in the review, testing and implementation of bi-annual ERP releases and other system releases or patches; determines impact, participates in regression testing for new system features and communication of changes/benefits to end users.
- Collaborates within ERP Community and area user groups to research and resolve issues and to proactively remain informed about ERP changes, alerts and enhancements. Communicates with cross-functional teams, with the ability to explain complex concepts, bring business insights, and drive process improvements.
- Communicates risks and formalizes clear effective solutions throughout the ERP implementation and with ongoing maintenance.
- Assists the ERP Workstream Manager with implementing change management strategies that support VCUHS staff in positively adopting new processes and procedures. Provides tier-2 support for users who need guidance, instruction or general help with workstream integration.
- Performs other duties as assigned and/or participates in special projects in order to support the mission of VCUHS and the Department. Provides assistance to team members. Accepts alternate assignments as required.
