JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position is responsible for developing appropriate compensation and benefits strategies. It is also responsible for implementing compensation and benefit programs for the company to cover the following areas: job evaluation, salary and incentive programs, life and health insurance, allowances, disability, pension, stock options, programs. The position also manages the timely and accurate processing of the employees’ payroll.

Key Areas of Accountability:
Compensation and Benefits
- Analyze compensation policies, government regulations and market rates to develop competitive pay structure/compensation plans
- Manage and monitor the compensation aspect of the promotion, pay equity adjustments, merit rating programs and adjustments to the minimum value of a salary range to ensure adherence to established policies
- Oversee the administration of the base salary programs for employees to ensure internal and external equity
- Plan, develop and design cost effective and competitive reward programs for employees
- Identify local market trends, monitor competitiveness, cost implications and recommend innovative and effective programs and solutions
- Establish and implement policies and procedures related to Compensation and Benefits and update the same for any significant changes
- Analyze and evaluate jobs in order to establish internal relativities
- Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of compensation and benefits programs and policies
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Manager on salary offer/compensation package for new employees
- Provide business leaders with valuable information on C&B studies, analysis and market competitiveness
- Prepare annual compensation, benefits and payroll budget
- Monitor expenditures vis a vis approved budget
- Research on economic predictors such as inflation rate, industry historical salary increases and projected merit budget to aid management in plan/update reviews
- Manage the third party service providers (HMO representatives, consultants, etc.) to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services to employees
Payroll
- Manage the payroll vendor to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee payroll, including sales commissions, incentives, bonuses, etc.
- Review payroll register prior to submission to the Finance Director for review
- Ensure that all taxes, Social Security contributions, contribution to employee programs, and other deductions are withheld from individual paychecks
- Ensure accuracy of government payroll tax reports, including monthly remittance and year end returns
- Determine taxability of non-wage payments
- Prepare and create standard and ad-hoc reports and reconcile all payroll related general ledger accounts prior to uploading to BPCs
- Compute for incentive payouts for non sale (support and marketing) employees
- Calculate separation pay and other benefits related programs for terminated employees
- Release separation pay check of employees once accountabilities are settled
- Recommend changes in methods of procedures to improve efficiency of payroll function
- Ensure compliance with corporate audit, relevant tax lays and government regulations
HR Database Management
- Maintain all payroll related records
- Update and maintain 201 file to ensure that all pertinent personnel information are properly captured.
- Ensure the confidentiality of all personnel-related records
Report Generation
- Prepare updated report on employee data to capture new hires and status changes
- Prepare headcount report
- Ensure timely submission of monthly KPI report to HR/Finance and Business Leaders
- Prepare payroll related reports
- Prepare government reports on headcount and turnover
Others
- Act as subject matter expert for technical tax compliance issues, including tax liabilities and benefits of foreign nationals and expatriates assigned to the company
- Administer the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
- Administer the Clara Abbot Scholarship Fund
- Participate in the on-boarding program by orient new hires on payroll and compensation and benefits policies and procedures
- Develop, analyze and prepare strategic CI projects and sourcing savings proposals
- Identify job processes for streamlining
- Participate in various C&B related surveys and ensure the accuracy of data
- Participate in various C&B project being initiated by the region
