Position Summary...

As the Manager of Business Development – Channel Partnerships, you will lead Walmart Marketplace Canada's strategy to grow and manage our network of third-party Solution Providers. These partners are critical to seller success and platform growth. You will identify, onboard, and manage high-impact Solution Providers that bring quality sellers and innovative capabilities to our ecosystem.
You’ll own the end-to-end sales and onboarding cycle - including prospecting, relationship management, contracting, and go-to-market execution. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams (Operations, Tech, Support, Fulfillment, Marketing, and International) and serve as Canada’s point of contact for global API integration efforts. You’ll also support post-launch success by leading webinars, developing go-to-market marketing programs, and ensuring smooth transitions for newly launched sellers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard new Solution Providers to expand seller capabilities and drive Marketplace growth.
  • Develop and execute account strategies for top partners to maximize adoption of tools and services.
  • Lead business development initiatives to drive seller acquisition through channel partners.
  • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline; progress opportunities through all deal stages to close.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketplace Support, BD, Tech, and WFS.
  • Oversee partner performance, including contract management, incentive planning, and API adoption.
  • Execute B2B marketing programs in collaboration with Solution Providers.
  • Represent Canada in global API initiatives and manage international account relationships.
  • Lead post-launch programs including webinars, marketing support, and onboarding transitions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in eCommerce, Marketplace, or business development roles
  • Proven success in partner/channel management and account strategy
  • Strong understanding of API-based partnerships and solution provider ecosystems
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel
