Job Summary:

You will work closely with a senior mentor to gain technical knowledge and experience in your field, and cooperate with a broader international team both locally and globally. 

  • Paid 12-month internship with possible extension to 24 months in total. 

  • Flexible working hours, on average 20 hours/week

  • Start date on February 1st 2025

The Red Hat Information Technology Experience (ITX), Endpoint Systems team is seeking a Junior Business Systems Analyst Intern. Our team is responsible for the full lifecycle distribution of hardware (laptops and mobile devices) to our associates around the globe. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with leadership and your peers to identify, document, and develop process improvements for the business. Given high-level direction, you’ll be able to contribute to and provide analytical support for our active projects.

During this internship, you will help apply data management and analysis techniques to quantify the health and sustainability of open source software communities. You will have regular contact with AL/ML engineers and other data scientists gaining important insights into how Red Hat fosters its open source communities to grow its business. And you'll collaborate with open source community builders to provide timely reports of upstream activities to Red Hat stakeholders. 

The focus for Red Hat's Intern Program is a dual partnership between the Emerging Talent Team, and our intern managers. We can offer you professional development, social engagement and networking, performance and development, and meaningful work throughout your time at Red Hat. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect and document input from Red Hat technology users, customers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and requirements. 

  • Execute and develop a competitive analysis by researching competitive solutions and documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses.

  • Develop and prioritize and document requirements, epics, and user stories for new releases of our offerings. 

  • Translate key findings into visualized presentations

  • Network with other talented interns in an inclusive and diverse workplace where you can be yourself and thrive

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of change management practices, with a concentration on minimizing customer disruption while meeting our regulatory standards

  • Interest in business process improvements with a technology focus

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor's degree or in a Master's degree in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 

  • Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and analyze data to foster data-driven decisions

  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain communication with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong organizational and logistical skills

  • Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally

  • Willingness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team
