Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst

Job Description: The Sr. Data Analyst at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in New York, NY will provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers to drive business decisions and address business questions. Create high quality and value driven work that drives business outcomes. Create and produce forecasts, reports, and dashboards to tell story through data. Utilize analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts that impact business. Deliver results to department leaders and clients. Deliver results, insights, and recommendations to business audience to support decisions. Produce actionable reports showing key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems. Utilize analytical tools including SAS, SQL, NoSQL, MS Excel, SPSS, Python, and R.  Leverage machine learning and AI technical experience to solve enterprise-level business problems. Apply data visualization best practices to work deliverables. Visualization tooling including PowerBI and Tableau. Design and develop deliverables based on interpretation of findings and business client needs on a wide range of analytical topics. Contribute to growth and development of organization by sharing results and insights across teams and with business clients. Identify and capture business requirements. Develop KPI frameworks. Telecommuting permitted 3 days per week. Salary $128,116- $160,550 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 2 years (or a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 year) of experience as a data analyst or related occupation. Experience must include 2 years with each of the following: (1) research, data analysis, and application of statistical research techniques; (2) analytical tools including SAS, SQL, NoSQL, MS Excel, SPSS, Python, and R; (3) Visualization tooling including PowerBI or Tableau; and (4) accessing, gathering, and analyzing data to develop insights into business problems.
