Reimagine What’s Possible 

This position will be responsible for executing all phases of plant projects in industrial gases facilities in the South East Asia region.

Core responsibilities include:

• Marshal internal and external resources to complete portfolio of projects in Project Development Engineering stage 

• Developing cost effective project scopes and estimates

• Detail design according to recognized APCI and external standards  

• Manage project schedule to meet project timeline

• Monitor and control project costs in SAP project

• Manage project-related permitting with local Authorities

• Manage and document design hazard reviews.

• Liaise with Operation Technical Solution (OTS), operation and maintenance team to develop equipment specifications, requisition of key equipment and materials.

• Develop and prepare bid packages, conduct bidding process and perform technical and commercial bid comparison and assessment.

• Work with procurement team in sourcing for new vendors or contractors for projects.

• Lead and conduct project meetings in all project phases to facilitate projects smooth execution.

• Gather all related information required by eMOC for operation to raise eMOC

• Execute and supervising construction work

• Manage project safety and project quality which include conduct BSP, develop/review HIRARC, develop/review project safety plan, conduct safety shift starter and comply to plant PTW process.

• Lead and conduct project deliverables during project closure i.e. Operation Readiness Inspection (ORI), Safe To Commission Certificate (STCC), Safe To Startup Certificate (STSC), Safe and Stable Operating Certificate (SSOC).

• Manage project documentation for turnover to Operations and archive it to EDMS/OT

• May act as a technical consultant in specific areas of expertise

• Liaise with external customer, consultant, when required

• Manage vendors and contractors   

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Similar type production facility with at least 2 years of in plant experience. Minimum education requirement is BS in engineering. 

• Experience with Mechanical and piping engineering would be the preferred background.

• The incumbent should be a generalist in multiple engineering disciplines as his/her role would be broad. position requires 5 – 8 years of project and design engineering experience in the petro-chemical or similar industrial experience.

• The incumbent shall have Competency in personal computer skills including MS word, MS Excel, Access, MS Project and Outlook
