The Elite/Lead Field Service Technician is responsible for initiating and executing field service activities at customer sites in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This role works on advanced and complex systems, proactively troubleshoots mechanical and electrical equipment, performs preventative maintenance, manages parts inventory, and identifies and corrects safety concerns on both company- and customer-owned equipment.
This position interfaces directly with customers, may support multiple systems and locations, and is responsible for escalating issues appropriately while leveraging company resources to ensure timely resolution. The Lead Technician works independently with minimal supervision and provides guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior-level technicians.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and safe working environment
Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered systems
Conduct preventative maintenance and manage parts inventory
Diagnose and resolve equipment failures in wastewater and related environments
Lift and move equipment/materials up to 50 lbs
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Maintain company property and equipment
Provide high-level customer service and maintain professional customer relationships
Lead, coach, and support junior technicians as needed
Escalate technical or customer concerns appropriately
On-call availability required (24/7 plant support as scheduled)
Outdoor work environment, including wastewater facilities
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
Valid driver’s license required
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
5–7 years of relevant technical experience
Mechanically inclined with strong electrical background
Ability to obtain required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
Technical certification, degree, or industry-specific licenses
Military technical background
Plumbing experience
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Experience working with diesel or similar equipment (as applicable to business unit)
Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
Ability to synthesize technical information and explain it clearly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices
Results-driven with a high level of accountability and ownership
Commitment to continuous professional development
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
