Job Description Summary

Manage assigned commodities for the Gas Power Heavy Duty New Units business segment (focus on HRSG but not limited to).

Support the development of supplier panels that can meet or exceed GEV’s expectations. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the optimal contractual conditions while meeting project expectations. Manage and follow-up manufacturing and delivery of the goods ensuring OTD.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of purchase orders with suppliers for assigned commodities, including but not limited to:

    • Determine suppliers to solicit quotes from for specific project demands.

    • Lead negotiations and allocate demands to specific suppliers.

    • Ensure selected supplier is capable of meeting all GEV requirements; gain internal buy-in for any exceptions.

    • Coordinate supplier awards and purchase order placement with the project team

    • Manage purchase order changes as necessary.

    • Manage commercial claims with suppliers regarding delivery and quality issues.

    • Follow up the manufacturing, expediting parts and ensuring on time delivery

    • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.

  • Handle major and complex HRSG offers from tendering stage, ensuring technical & commercial alignment with all functions

  • Hold weekly progress meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are up to date on the status of the manufacturing and commercial progress with suppliers

  • Develop content expertise for assigned commodities.

  • Identify and support process improvement activities.

  • Communicate and resolve complex issues, building consensus and commitment from key stakeholders. Utilize persuasion skills to influence others.

  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Use sound judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks and issues.

  • Uses technical experience, data analytics, and cross-functional inputs to support recommendations.

  • Manage stakeholders, represent sourcing in project meetings and drive fulfillment actions monitoring suppliers manufacturing

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

  • Functional Experience: Major experience in Sourcing & Commodity Management.

  • Commodity Experience: Proven experience with Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and related Gas & Steam Power technology components.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position:

The pay range for this position is between $ 110,880 and $ 181,300. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: annual bonus target: 15%.
