We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist (HRS) at Drives division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. In this role, you will help create great HR experience for our Drives employees by supporting managers and employees in their everyday HR topics in a professional and friendly way. This is a fixed term position until March 30, 2027 due to organizational changes. We hope that you'd be able to start early August.

As an on‑site HR Specialist, you will support our managers, employees, and other stakeholders, helping to resolve questions, guide HR‑related processes, and support day‑to‑day HR activities. You’ll be a trusted point of contact, supporting topics such as talent attraction, training coordination, payroll and benefits questions, and general HR guidance and issue resolution. You’ll work closely with the Drives HR team colleagues, HR Services, and other ABB HR functions to ensure smooth and consistent HR support across the organization.

Your role and responsibilities
 

  • "Walk-in/call-in" support for HR tools (mainly Workday), incidents and questions about payroll, benefits, and other HR needs
  • Answering questions and addressing/resolving issues for managers and employees
  • Assisting business HR with basic HR reporting
  • Supporting HRBPs with annual cycles and special projects
  • Providing issue tracking and resolution communication
  • Supporting talent attraction and employment life cycle management
  • Supporting employee communications, together with our Communications Manager
  • Supporting HR communication and HR initiatives and project execution
  • Supporting people event planning and execution
  • Acting according to high compliance standards

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • At least two years’ related experience in People Management

  • Good skills in working with Workday as a supporting system

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English

  • Customer service mindset

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Understanding of human resource principles, policies, practices, and procedures

  • Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement people strategy through the execution of HR processes. Each day, you will provide HR support for a defined team or location, by partnering with respective managers. You will also showcase your expertise by representing HR in the business and establishing strong relationships with all business leaders and employees.
