Job Description
 

Within the Solution Architecture and Engineering IT organization we are looking for an experienced solution architect to drive, in collaboration with the rest of the architecture team, the definition and implementation of a target architecture. The role will be a key contributor to delivering business critical initiatives while ensuring the sustainable and continuous evolution of our architectural and technology landscape towards the defined target.

The key tasks include:

  • Contribute to the definition, documentation, evolution, and implementation of a firm-wide target architecture;

  • Drive, together with our internal and external development teams and delivery partners, the design, implementation and improvement of our software and technology landscape;

  • Take ownership of complex projects, driving the technology and architectural aspects and, in close collaboration with all other involved parties, ensure a successful and sustainable delivery;

  • Find technical solutions for the implementation, integration, and optimization of business processes across various systems in close cooperation and collaboration with the relevant stakeholders (e.g., Business Owners, Platform Leads, Product Owners);

  • Manage and steer together with the other solution architects and the business owners the new demand process;

  • Constantly assess and evaluate software architectures, technologies, methods, tools, and strategies for improving efficiency and reusability.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or similar (Master’s degree is preferred);

  • Proven experience as Solution Architect and/or Lead Software Engineer, experience in designing and developing enterprise large-scale software ecosystems is of advantage;

  • Experience in devising cloud ready solutions; proven experience in migrating/transitioning from on-prem and/or legacy solutions to the cloud is of advantage;

  • Experience in the software development lifecycle and in-depth understanding of (enterprise) software engineering practices and processes (e.g., quality assurance practices, DevOps, architecture reviews);

  • Proactive and motivated to learn new topics, open to collaborate hands-on across multiple, internal, and external development teams / integration partners and business stakeholders;

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and implement change to achieve common goals;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences;

  • Experience in financial services and / or asset management is of advantage;

  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, German is a plus.
