This position operates as an individual contributor supporting Ciena’s global physical security program, with a strong on-site presence at The Bard, London location. The role combines professional reception with hands-on physical security operations. Primary functional responsibilities include,
Reception; acting as main point of contact, greeting visitors/staff, and handling multiple communications channels to support efficient office operations.
Security operations; conducting patrols, managing local access control system, monitoring local surveillance systems, and responding to alarms or security incidents.
Safety & compliance; Supporting CREWS during emergency situations and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist in program management, meeting with internal stakeholders to validate completion of tasks and updating Jira tickets.
Assist in the Supply Chain security function by collecting completed assessments, reviewing them, and validating completeness.
This role supports the execution of the global physical security program by carrying out defined strategies and tactics to protect personnel, facilities, and assets. Responsibilities include assisting in the identification and mitigation of existing and emerging physical security risks and supporting compliance-related activities and investigations. Also ensuring the integrity and proper administration of access card and access control processes; collaborating with management and business partners to resolve identified security issues; and providing consultative physical security support aligned with established policies and procedures.
