The Senior IT VMO Technology Contract Analyst is a pivotal role responsible for the comprehensive management of contracts and agreements with technology vendors who access, transmit, or host Prologis data, or provide IT contingent workers. We are seeking a seasoned professional with a robust technology background and a deep understanding of various IT domains, including cloud, cybersecurity, and infrastructure, data management, and software. This individual will not only manage the lifecycle of vendor contracts but also play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks within these agreements. The ability to understand the intricacies of technology and how it integrates within our environment will be essential in ensuring that our contracts align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This role will work closely with business owners, providing expert guidance on vendor management processes, business needs, and necessary documentation. Additionally, this role will cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with Legal, Risk Management, IT, Finance, and IT Security teams to ensure that all vendor relationships support Prologis’s standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Possess an in-depth understanding of various technology domains, including cloud, cybersecurity, software development, and IT infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and their potential impact on vendor contracts and agreements.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with technology contracts and vendor relationships.
- Expertise in interpreting and negotiating complex technology agreements, including licensing, SaaS, and IT professional services contracts.
- Serve as a point of contact for Technology Vendors on behalf of the organization.
- Handle contract renewals, negotiations, extensions, terminations, and new business for all technology vendors.
- Ensure thorough review and management of technology contracts to protect Prologis’s interests.
- Develop and maintain contract management processes that align with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure contracts meet regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Validate technology architecture, software, and service expectations with IT teams and their business partners.
- Educate business owners on the ITVMO role and process.
- Provide input on ITVMO program processes and procedures.
- Supervise and report on pending and completed work daily.
- Utilize contract management software to track and report on contract status and vendor performance.
- Participate in scheduled intake meetings with key partners.
- Build and champion positive relationships with internal Business Owner Partners.
- Implement Prologis legal guidelines.
- Analyze and identify additional agreements as needed.
- Perform the onboarding of new vendor partners.
- Support Information Security governance, ensuring vendor compliance with Prologis’s security policies and standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 5+ years working in IT technology vendor management or IT technology contract management teams.
- Professional expertise in evaluating a variety of technology investments with sophisticated critical thinking and analytical skills, providing our business partners with the greatest flexibility and solution options.
- Strong background in complex technology contract negotiation and risk assessment and mitigation with industry-standard enterprise product and service providers.
- Validated expertise leading sophisticated vendor negotiations.
- Ability to challenge customer input to facilitate stronger outcomes.
- Must exhibit efficiency, teamwork, candor, willingness, and results orientation; be service-oriented and team-focused with a high degree of initiative and follow-through.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrable experience in preparing presentations to financial and business leaders, including senior management.
- Proficient knowledge and use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, electronic signature software (Docusign), and Smartsheet.
- Experience with contract management software and tools.
- Independent in work ethic and thought process, needing little direction and supervision.
- Positive demeanor and solid teammate with eagerness to learn and add value to the organization.
- Familiarity with Information Technology environments and their complex technical concepts.
- Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and lead multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet timelines with efficiency and accuracy.
- Show tact, discretion, confidentiality, and good judgment in handling critical and confidential matters and documentation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working with technology and/or technology vendors/sales.
- Experience interacting and collaborating with legal advisors.
- Working with procurement teams is a plus.
- Global company experience.
Hiring Salary Range of: $91,000-$125,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
