Personal Systems Strategy Manager

This role is responsible for driving HP Personal Systems' strategic direction, ensuring that it remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape. You will inform the strategic choices by conducting in-depth analyses, synthesizing the analytical results, testing hypotheses, and forming the recommendations. You will also set up various initiatives for success by planning for implementation with the business owners. The role works with large, cross-functional teams to facilitate projects and collaborates across businesses to align operational strategy with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess portfolio strategy opportunities and identify recommendations to optimize business and financial performance

  • Apply structured problem solving and strategic frameworks to deliver data-driven, synthesized insights to support actionable strategy and recommendations.

  • Drive multiple key strategic projects across functions and business segments that have enterprise-wide implications

  • Be a thought leader and influencer with the executive leadership team, functional leaders, and business unit leaders on strategy formulation and consensus building.

  • Work collaboratively and effectively across a global matrix organization to build alignment and ensure successful execution.

  • Demonstrate superior strategic and analytical skills with ability to draw key insights and develop clear recommendations.

  • Use intellectual agility and superior written and verbal communication to develop presentations, facilitate discussions, and simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts.

  • Actively contribute to building skills and talent, and creating a "fun" culture, as we build a world class strategy team.

  • Lead and influence in a team setting, including extended teams.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • MBA or demonstrable equivalent

  • 6+ years total experience: 2+ years post MBA experience leading projects, products, deals etc. At least 3+ years' experience in a top tier management consulting firm

  • Experience gained in a variety of leadership roles (informal or formal) including time spent in both strategy and product roles and presenting to senior executive audiences

  • Experience in the Tech industry, including consumer electronics, software, XaaS, managed services offerings and/or subscription-based business models and solutions go-to-market

  • The individual should have a track record of driving change and transformation, particularly around growth, and have demonstrated experience in large scale project execution.

  • Should have the ability and desire to take on broad strategic operational assignments as part of future development.

He/she can establish rapport and effective relationships and let people be responsible for their work, sharing wins & success.

The base pay range for this role is $118,050 to $181,800.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
