Clinical Pharmacy Manager

In this role, as Clinical Pharmacy Manager, you'll work closely with the Ambulatory Care Lead and the Specialty Pharmacy Director, Senior Clinical Director to implement quality patient care services in a booming weight loss center located adjacent to the Weill Cornell Hospital. You'll provide collaborative pharmaceutical care to patients while working in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager provides direct patient care to patients and conducts teaching and research activities to promote optimal, cost-effective patient care.

Develops, implements, manages and reports results pertinent to continuous quality improvement and expense reduction programs related to the patients serviced. Examples of such efforts should be:

  • Medication use evaluations.
  • Treatment protocols/guidelines
  • Clinical pathways
  • Other products/services which fulfill these goals

 Preferred Criteria:

  • A specialty residency in internal medicine or ambulatory care or fellowship are preferred
  • One to three years of previous experience as a clinical pharmacist preferred
  • Prior experience in a hospital or ambulatory setting

Required Criteria:

  • Position requires the knowledge normally acquired through completion of an entry level or post baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy program and residency program.
  • New York State licensure or eligibility for licensure required as a Pharmacist by the State of New York
  • Licensure required within 3 months of employment
  • Knowledge of Pharmacotherapy
  • Knowledge in Specialty Area
  • Knowledge of Interpersonal Communications
  • Knowledge of Computer Applications
  • Eligible to obtain CDTM

$152,000-$199,200/Annual
