Position Summary:

At Clayton Supply, we believe our team members are our greatest asset. The HR Generalist III serves as a strategic partner and cultural champion, responsible for supporting our manufacturing operations through world-class HR practices. This role will focus on employee relations, recruiting, compliance, performance management, and most importantly, team member engagement. As the driving force behind our engagement efforts, the HR Generalist III will play a critical role in building a connected, empowered, and high-performing team environment across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and HR business partner to plant leadership and supervisors, ensuring alignment with company values and goals
  • Serve as the lead for all team member engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, TMX events, VTO activities, wellness campaigns, and plant culture-building efforts
  • Provide support and coaching on employee relations matters, conducting investigations and ensuring fair and consistent resolution of workplace concerns
  • Champion an inclusive and positive work environment by promoting open communication, diversity, respect, and teamwork across departments
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including interviews, onboarding, and new team member orientation
  • Support performance management processes such as evaluations, development plans, and corrective actions, always with a focus on growth and retention
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as Clayton policies and procedures; maintain accurate and confidential documentation
  • Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, and engagement to identify trends and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with leadership on talent planning, succession planning, and organizational development
  • Serve as a mentor and support system for newer HR team members, coordinators, and area leaders
  • Be visible and present on the production floor daily to maintain strong connections with team members and reinforce a culture of trust and support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • SHRM-CP, PHR or equivalent HR certification preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Proven experience in employee relations, engagement programming, and cultural leadership
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
