Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

What you will do:

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to

  • . Manage the software development team, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software applications across various platforms (iOS, Android, Web)
  • Supervise the development of the orchestration layer, backend systems ( Java) to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Work closely with other teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Maintain a high level of technical expertise and industry knowledge, staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Develop project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure software applications comply with quality standards and meet customer expectations.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other engineering teams, to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the ecommerce industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile application development (iOS, Android), web development, orchestration layer, and backend systems, CMS Tools
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • 10. Strong knowledge of M*N matrix management.
  • Ability to foster innovation and engineering excellence within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms is a plus.
