The Test Lab Engineer Co-Op will support hardware development programs for HVAC and Commercial system applications.

Job Description

Duties:

  • Support hardware testing on development programs for HVAC and Commercial system applications. Interface with software and hardware design engineers to determine the appropriate test parameters on these applications. Help develop hardware validation samples for testing and customer evaluation.
  • Assist engineers and technicians with various software and hardware tasks for the test labs.
  • Assemble and modify electronic controls for testing and customer samples.
  • Set up and perform testing on motor controls and related hardware.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working to achieve a B.S in Electrical Engineering
  • Junior status
  • Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during business hours.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment – multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Good hands-on skills such as soldering and mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and organization skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
