The job:

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific in a leadership role as Project Director, where you'll guide transformative initiatives that shape our organization's future. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

This role is fully office-based at either our Eindhoven, the Netherlands, or Brno, Czechia sites.  Regular international travel will be required – up to 50% of working time, including overnight stays.

What will you do?

                                            

  • Lead large-scale cost-out programs, value engineering efforts, and strategic transformations that directly impact our company's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate end-to-end processes, foster cross-functional collaboration, and manage critical projects that enhance our operational excellence.
  • Maintain key performance indicators, facilitate steering committee meetings, and work closely with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment across multiple divisions.

Who we are looking for:

  • Advanced Degree plus several years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus multiple years of experience in Operations/Engineering or Program Management leading other leaders
  • Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in operations strategy and value engineering
  • Proven success in leading cost-out and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable plans
  • Experience building and maintaining project dashboards and KPIs
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to build consensus across diverse groups
  • Experience leading steering committees and managing senior-level relationships
  • Solutions-focused mindset with proactive approach to operational challenges
  • Advanced level of English language
