Team Description

Our team is looking for a Principal Program Manager who will report to our Director, Program Management. This role is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed when expected and within budget. Program managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives

  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

  • Track project costs in order to meet budget

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables

  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed using preferred methodology

  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience

  • Degree in relevant field

  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, with the ability to creatively tell stories and adjust tone and style based on communication channel

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Airline Industry Domain Knowledge

  • Super Positive and Customer comes first attitude

  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or equivalent. Proficient with a project scheduling software tool-MS Project preferred

  • Must have an affinity for the travel and technology industry

  • Responsible for planning and managing programs to meet service delivery, quality and cost goals.

  • Acting as program team leader, reviews user, technical and logistical requirements, identifies tasks, assigns and coordinates resources and creates/tracks project schedules

  • Ensures clear communication and timely resolution of issues

  • Establishes project roadmaps.

  • Interprets business needs and oversees translation into technical plans. • • Provides regular oversight over project plans

  • Provides project reports (& other PM artefacts) and recommends adjustments.

  • Makes resource adjustments to meet plans.
