What Will You Do?

  • Manage all logistical functions relating to freight movement for both import and export.
  • Prepare and process all customs and shipping documentation.
  • Ensure inward and outward shipments of products meet all country and customs regulations.
  • Coordinate import container delivery scheduling and transport movement to Toro Australia warehouses.
  • Develop and maintain export customer relationships.
  • Evaluate transportation management practices and propose options for improving freight management costs.
  • Source freight quotations and negotiate rates as required.
  • Develop and manage service levels of freight providers.
  • Ensure import/export freight accounts are accurate before authorizing payment.
  • Facilitate the effective clearance of export cargo from Australia.
  • Research and comply with legal requirements affecting export and import of goods to and from Australia.
  • Prepare financial statements and reporting on export-import operations and sales.
  • Ensure Toro’s export and import practices comply with legal and ethical requirements.

What Do You Bring?

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an export role within a medium to large organization.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are advantageous.
  • SAP experience and computer literacy in Ozdocs Export Software.
  • A sound knowledge of Incoterms is essential.
  • Competency with the preparation and coordination of export/import documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with cross-cultural communication expertise.
  • Professional and friendly phone manner.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office literacy, at a minimum intermediate level.
  • A flexible attitude to the position and its demands, including overtime when required.
