Job Summary:

Scope: A business unit role that supports Celcat based in the UK and Bullet Solutions based in Portugal.
Purpose: To manage our financial operations to best practice standards, reporting to our parent group.

Job Description:

This role suits a talented individual who can be relied upon to be a trusted pair of hands to the CEO.  You will hold responsibility for accurate and timely reporting and analysis including month end, quarter end, and year-end.  We are looking for a conscientious individual, who can be trusted to work to deadlines, who is comfortable sharing any blockers in a timely manner.  You’ll co-ordinate our reporting with our parent group finance team.

Key responsibilities: 

·         Oversee, manage and process financial transactions

·         Coordinate with and support our accountant in Portugal

·         Produce timely and accurate monthly financial accounts including posting of standard month end journals, all profit and loss and balance sheet accounts, bank reconciliation as well as quarter end reporting 

·         Timely, accurate and high-quality group reporting in standard group report format

·         Current year forecasts, tracking commits and actuals, 5-year outlook and plan

·         Management of the accounting for recurring contracts, related deferred revenue and release of income calculations

·         Processing of employee expenses

·         Review interim Corp Tax instalments and payments. 

·         Accurate and timely submission of all relevant company returns and payments to statutory authorities such as: confirmation statements, statutory accounts, PAYE, VAT, PSA and P11D reporting 

·         Management of AR and AP function including approval of accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable invoices (transactions raised by other people)

·         Maintain adequately robust financial controls and systems, including and not limited to, upholding segregation of duties, approval for cash disbursement, balance sheet reconciliation

·         Payroll processing, liaising with 3rd party service

·         Financial risk assessments, financial business continuity plan.

·         Ad-hoc requirements as needed.
