Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Operate and trouble shoot blow molding equipment to produce various sizes of bottles used in the product of dairy and drink products for sale at Weis Markets retail locations.
  • Receive, unload, and perform quality assurance testing for the plastic resin used in the production of various size bottles for use either by Weis Markets or sale to third party customers.
  • Develop working knowledge of the debagging operation to ensure proper production procedures.
  • Assist in the completion in preventative maintenance performed and repairs on all equipment.
  • Participate and maintain compliance with HACCP plan, associated quality control programs and documentation.
  • Responsible for maintaining the commitment to food safety and food quality in compliance with Weis Markets, DEP (Department of Environmental Protection), PDA, FDA and SQF etc.  


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisor responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or general education (GED) and one (1) year experience in a supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
