We are searching for a Senior Test and Validation Engineer to perform diversified test applications development and improvements involving test process equipment and based on the products test specifications and requirements.
This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What You Will Do
Oversee the preparation of equipment for testing to ensure that systems perform according to necessary specifications on all platforms/projects/systems.
Establish validation standards and develops testing protocols for all platforms/projects/systems.
Review and submit documentation of testing/validation results and confirms operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality all platforms/projects/systems.
Provide technical leadership to team members on all protocols for testing/validation
Provide engineering support for electronics & electromechanical manufacturing operations, including circuit card assembly, box build, and system integration
Lead investigation, root cause and corrective action (RCCA) for electrical, test, and yield issues impacting production
Develop, maintain, and improve electrical manufacturing processes, test methods, and work instructions to meet design intent and workmanship standards
Collaborate with Design Engineering to resolve producibility, testability, and obsolescence issues
Partner with Quality Engineering to support audits, customer escapes, nonconformances, and corrective action plans
Provide analysis’ for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develops verification criteria and plans for the requirements
Read complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings is required
Review defects trends, identify systemic root causes and process improvements and recommend new approaches, tools, techniques that drive continuous improvements in the development processes.
Proactively identify and communicate technical issues and help resolve these issues. Ensure these issues are elevated to project leadership for resolution.

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Experience supporting electronics manufacturing environments (e.g., circuit card assembly, test, integration).
Experience in Aerospace or Defense Manufacturing
Experience with troubleshooting skills across electrical circuits, test equipment, and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with IPC standards, ESD controls, and high-reliability electronics
Experience supporting test stations, ATE, or functional test environments
Exceptionally strong communication skills, experience presenting technical data to program management and executive leadership
Knowledge of Embedded Systems and Digital Hardware architecture/design
