The Senior Data Engineer role will support all of Analytics & Business Intelligence in our data engineering needs. This role will assume responsibility for our data pipelines across all Line of Businesses, manage our enrichments and define the schemas for our core data warehouse tables, liaise with IT as needed to establish and maintain our extract, transform, and load processes, consult for IT on evolving our infrastructure needed, and provide tooling that all BAs on our team can use to speed up / enable analysis and reporting. 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and extract, transform, and load processes to support business intelligence and analytics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure data availability, quality, and consistency.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and collaborate with IT to optimize existing data infrastructure for performance and reliability.

  • Manage the integration of data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and availability.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data quality standards and implement data governance practices.

  • Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new data tools and technologies.

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and reports for different departments.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

  • Hands-on experience with extract, transform, and load tools and processes (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, or similar

  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data-related services.

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Redshift.

  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and best practices in data security.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
