What you Will Do
In this role you will work with the engineering team that develop control systems product solutions, serving as their liaison for all their sources of product requirements, from either PTx Trimble, CCFS, or other sources, and translating these into technical product roadmaps and requirements/specifications that the control system development team will design and validate to.
Control system products include in its scope not only the development of the core state estimation and control algorithms, but also the required processes, procedures, methods that enable repeatable and effective successful deployment of Trimble control systems in the field.
These include methods to either manually or automatically configure, calibrate, and optimize (e.g. performance tune) the control system algorithms on any target machine.
You will also contribute in the coordination of the project, guiding the development team with the project planning and execution.
Your Primary Duties
Interface directly with AgIS partners to capture their product needs, helping to rationalize and crystallize these into actionable items for the control systems engineering team
Develop and document control system product engineering requirements and specifications with a Good / Better / Best mindset
Create and maintain the control system product and technical roadmap (includes deployment)
Collaborate with control systems leadership to develop an engineering strategy to support the product roadmap
Develop and maintain system diagrams of the control system product and sub-components, as well as their delivery and integration into target platform architectures (Systems Engineering)
Ensure all product initiatives and developments are consistently aligned with the AgIS overall product roadmap and strategic objectives
Contribute to the Connect and Scale strategy alignment inside AgIS
Develop requirements and technical specifications when not available or articulated by our customers

Experience bringing products through a development process
Understanding customer needs and ensuring the product meets those needs
Experience with requirements decomposition and management tools (e.g. Polarion)
Strong documentation, systems diagramming, and communication skills
Experience with systems engineering of off-highway industrial machine systems
Ability to travel (including international) up to 10% per year
What Skills & Experience You Could Bring
12+ years of applicable work experience
Experience leading small technical project and project management
Exposure to control system component concepts such as state estimation, sensing, controller, actuation and their implementation in off-highway vehicle systems
GNSS and IMU position sensing sensing technology concepts
Safety-critical software development and certification
Autonomous vehicle guidance, navigation & control background
