EquipmentShare is searching for a Supply Chain Logistics Manager for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.  

Job Summary: 

As a Supply Chain Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operational efficiency of the transportation and logistics functions for the Distribution Center. This role will focus on team development, metric attainment, and continuous improvement. The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will apply transformational leadership to transportation and logistics activities to achieve service level targets and reduce cost. This position will design, implement, and optimize EquipmentShare’s logistics network aimed to deliver current needs while supporting the delivery of the company’s strategic growth plan.

  • The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will lead and oversee the Distribution Center transportation and logistics team. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Cultivate a people-centric culture of engagement and empowerment.

  • Focus on collaboration and servant leadership for effective continuous improvement and change management.
  • Develop and implement a transportation and logistics strategy that supports the company's strategic growth plan to achieve: cost, quality and service objectives.
  • Ensure deliverables for service level expectations to include cost controls, quality service, network optimization, carrier sourcing and management, on-time deliveries, audit controls, claim management, and KPI achievement.
  • Source and select vendors and carriers, negotiate contract terms to include defining service level agreements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors/carriers to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, this includes all partners in the logistics carrier network.
  • Analyze market trends to optimize strategic use of routing and resources to achieve or exceed company objectives.
  • Develop and implement process improvement programs to optimize route efficiency, cost containment and customer service levels; act as project lead to coordinate improvements.
  • Define, analyze and track operational metrics specific to all Transportation and Logistics KPIs.
  • Cultivate a high-performing team to achieve company goals, meet changing business demands, develop internal talent capability and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure adherence to Federal laws and regulations governing shipper/carrier/safety standards maintaining organizational compliance at all times.
  • Maintain knowledge of logistics industry and market trends to innovate, reduce cost, provide improved customer service, and develop Transportation & Logistics staff.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit and delivery. 
  • Responsible for the safety of the department and security of people and resources, accident investigations, and loss prevention. 
  • Lead crisis management efforts to resolve logistics disruptions promptly, minimizing impact on customer deliveries. 
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the business needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • ERP experience a plus, specifically with Microsoft and Google suite of systems.
  • Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.
  • Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to build effective working relationships, persuade, and influence others.
  • Results driven, utilize knowledge to meet or exceed KPIs and goals.
  • Proven time management skills and quickly adapts to a changing business environment.
  • Able to prioritize responsibilities with the appropriate level of urgency, able to listen and can use this information to solve problems, anticipate issues and make correct decisions based on a variety of situations.
  • Superior communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal skills; able to listen effectively to solve problems, anticipate issues and make effective decisions as needed.

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • 4-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar major preferred. 
  • At least 5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or industry related field experience required. 
  • At least 3+ years 3PL experience required. 
  • At least 1+ years or more direct supervisory experience required. 
  • Solid financial, analytical, and P&L experience. 
  • Extensive experience and a desire to learn, grow and be part of a successful team REQUIRED!

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive
  • Be able to travel up to 20% of the time
  • The associate will be required to: read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand instructions or guidelines. 
  • Ability to move on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 25 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.
