About Team:
Marketplace Engineering team is at the forefront of building core platforms and services to enable Walmart to deliver vast selection at competitive prices and with best in class post-order experience by enabling third-party sellers to list, sell and manage their products to our customers on walmart.com. We do this by managing the entire seller lifecycle, monitoring customer experience, and delivering high-value insights to our sellers to help them plan their assortment, price, inventory. The team also actively collaborates with partner platform teams to ensure we continue to deliver the best experience to our sellers and our customers.

What you'll do:
Understand business problems and suggest technological solutions.
Architect, design, build and deploy technology solutions at scale.
Design, develop, and deploy highly available and scalable systems with a focus on AI and cloud-native solutions.
Develop and optimize applications using Java, Spring boot, React, Java Script, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Implement and integrate AI-driven solutions, including LLM-based applications, Gen AI, and Agentic AI frameworks.
Build and maintain RESTful web services, Kafka queues, and Cosmos DB for real-time data processing.
Leverage big data technologies such as Kafka to process and analyze large-scale datasets efficiently.
Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
Deploy and manage applications on Azure cloud platforms, leveraging Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies.
Drive best practices in CI/CD, Dev Ops, and operational excellence for seamless deployments and system reliability.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to define system architecture and development roadmaps.
Provide technical leadership, making design tradeoffs to balance long-term scalability with short-term execution needs.
Ensure database performance and scalability by working with relational and No SQL databases.
Act as a mentor, fostering technical growth within the team and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
What you'll bring:
10+ years of experience in design and development of highly scalable applications development in product-based companies or R&D divisions.
Strong computer systems fundamentals, DS/Algorithms and problem-solving skills
Strong programming skills in Java, Spring boot, React, Java Script,
Strong experience with SQL /No-SQL and database technologies (MySQL, Mongo DB, Hbase, Cassandra, Oracle, Postgresql)
Experience in systems design and distributed systems.
Large scale distributed services experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make strategic tradeoffs in design decisions.
Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills
