About the Role
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and project management support for a new and growing research program in a well-established clinical service providing world class Head & Neck and Skull Base Surgery. 

  • General Reception and Provision of Administration Support
  • Support the Director of ENT Head & Neck Cancer unit and Professor of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery with a busy clinical, research and meeting schedule.
  • Schedule online and face-to-face meetings for Director of ENT Head & Neck Cancer unit and Professor of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery working around complex and variable commitments.
  • Administrative support for the clinical service including business and educational meetings and research programs, including reports and minutes.


Classifications for this position will range from HS3 - HS25 ($74,448.40 - $81,894.80 per annum pro rata).

Your Contribution

Formal Education:

  • Year 12 or equivalent

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Administration  experience
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Demonstrated experience with high efficiency and accuracy of typing and word processing
  • Demonstarted experience with MS Powerpoint, photo and video editing
  • Demonstrated experience in preparation of minutes and reports
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Surgical Services
The successful candidate will join a growing team on site at SVHM within the hospital, Department of Surgery and the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD). The position will be involved with clinical, educational and research activities. The role will be diverse as research projects build with opportunities for professional development in the health care, education/ university and research sectors.
