WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Senior Principal, Business HR, EMEA Global Technology to help provide solutions, thought partnership, and adopt and adapt global business talent strategies enabling senior leaders. We are looking for a passionate HR leader who will serve as trusted, strategic advisor and thought leader to GEO executives, providing counsel to enhance their growth and impact to advance NIKE’s vision, mission and objectives. The position will collaborate closely with the business (GEO & Global), Global BHR, COEs, and People Solutions to integrate and implement HR People and Talent (pipeline) Strategies. Additionally, the role drives alignment across peer GEO BHR teams to ensure consistent teammate experiences and enterprise outcomes.

The Senior Principle Business HR, EMEA anticipates business opportunities, partnering closely with business leadership and capturing Global insights to influence Business, People, and Talent strategies. The role operates at a unique intersection of strategy, organization, and talent, provides the nuanced HR leadership and consultation required to elevate support to the business and the teammate experience. The role provides strategic consultation and coaching to executive/corporate leaders on organizational issues that contribute to the growth of the business and the team. We are searching for an HR change agent who thrives in ambiguity and is adaptable to change in a fast-paced organization. Our ideal candidate has impeccable executive communication and presentation skills and is able to communicate and disseminate information across all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

In this role, you will build organizational alignment and capability through the development and/or facilitation of appropriate leader-focused interventions with Global, Geo and functional teams (e.g., team effectiveness, organizational design, employee engagement, etc.). You’ll also support the strategic workforce plans aligned with business strategies and objectives and apply diagnosis skills and core metrics to guide HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) in the shaping of appropriate and innovative HR solutions. You’ll provide HR expertise on business strategies, as well as sound business expertise, to members of EMEA Technology team.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report to the Sr Director, Business HR, Global Technology, and will work closely with the local EMEA HR team and collaborate across all HR COEs and People Solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:

To be successful in this role, you will bring 

  • A proven track record of successfully & strategically engaging with business functions in a business-facing HR capacity.
  • This would ideally be gained through tried and tested strategic HR Business Partnering experience; however, you may have gained similar breadth and depth of consultative HR skills across different HR specialist functions/COE’s.
  • Demonstrable experience developing partnerships with senior business leaders, particularly helping them to architect, manage and settle significant organizational change during periods of realignment and growth. 
  • Proven experience setting and leading organizational effectiveness, organization efficiency, as well as multi-year talent strategies.
  • Cross cultural awareness and sensitivities having worked in a diverse-geo context where understanding the nuances of different cultures, languages and nuances comes into play.
  • Experience leveraging the strength of cross-HR partnerships and operating effectively in geo and together with your global counterparts.
  • Well-developed industry and/or functional knowledge, curious around market insights that touch and influence the function, and proven enterprise thinking to bring the pieces of the puzzle together.
  • Able to drive strategy to successful execution with autonomy, however orchestrated through collective HR effort.
  • Travel will constitute 10%-15% of your time.
