Job Description:

SUMMARY: 
    
Responsible for ensuring maximum Customer service and satisfaction through the organization and supervision of assigned area according to Slot Department policies and procedures and Gaming Regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

•    Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time.

•    Supervises the operation of all slot machines and performance of Slot floor staff in assigned area and communicates with Shift Manager of any Customer and/or Team Member problems. 

•    Supervises the overall operation of Bingo and electronic Bingo devices and performance of Bingo staff and coordinates with Assistant Casino Operations Manager or above for any Customer and/or Team Member problems. 
    
•    Monitors the organization of assigned shift and area which includes daily Team Member assignments, break schedules and staffing levels.

•    Monitors the operation of assigned slot machines and participates in payout of jackpots and machine fills in accordance with policy.

•    Clears jams of various slot machine malfunctions and performs minor slot repairs.

•    Verifies slot and bingo payouts (jackpots, fills, etc.) and booth buying/selling, maintains security of monies within the department and assigned areas.
    
•    Strives to meet revenue goals by ensuring all slot machines are in working order. Notifies slot maintenance of repairs needed.

•    Supervises count in/count out of change banks when variances occur, also records and tracks variances related to Slots, and check voids related to Slots.

•    Supervises count in/count out of Bingo cards and funds, also records and tracks variances related to Bingo, and checks voids related to Bingo.

•    Maintains accurate inventory of Bingo supplies, including, but not limited to card, booklets, daubers, electronic bingo tablets, etc.

•    Verifies and administers payment to winning Bingo guests in accordance with Bingo Policies.

•    Monitor the Bingo card/paper inventory and admission of daily card/paper stock in accordance with Bingo Policies.

•    Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, suspend, evaluate, promote, assign, reward and/or discipline the Team Members in his/her span of supervision.  

•    Supports training programs for each position and ensures adequate training and development is provided for each Team Member.

•    Promotes all departmental and property-wide promotions.

•    Resolves miscellaneous customer complaints, referring to the appropriate supervisor or manager when necessary.

•    Greets customers, establishing rapport with them and providing complimentary amenities based upon specific casino guidelines for levels of play.

•    Assists customers with reservations for restaurants and hotel rooms.  Assists with transportation arrangements and special events ticketing.

•    Provides a safe work environment for employees through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting them to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

•    Maintains a professional department, company, appearance and community reputation.

•    Enforces performance standards, policies and procedures as they relate to the department
    
•    Maintains of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures. 

•    Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.

•    Ushers as needed by management for events.

•    Performs any reasonable request made by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:    

Directly supervises Slot Floor Persons and indirectly supervises all Slot Technicians on assigned shift.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
    
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma/GED.  Two years of slot experience or one year of slot experience and one year supervisory experience required.     

    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong computer skills required in appropriate software.  Strong organizational and communication skills required.

    
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of Customers or Team Members.  

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, by resolving or directing to the proper level of supervision.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.  The Team Member is also regularly required to stand and walk; to use ands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.   The Team Member occasionally required sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. 

The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member regularly works near moving mechanical parts such a gaming machines and is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and radiation.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
