As an HR Data & Tech Privacy Manager, you’ll lead the HR Privacy Program by working directly with the Global Privacy Office and HR Privacy SMEs to prepare and comply with global privacy regulations. As a firm, our objective is to extend our industry leadership to privacy as a trusted custodian of personal information. In HR, we manage some of the most sensitive data in the company, our associate and candidate data.  Accordingly, we are laser-focused on improving our practices to ensure we reduce this risk to the organization and for our associates and candidates.  Our efforts will help protect Capital Group, as well as avoid potential costly ramifications and damage to our reputation while doing the right thing for our associates and candidates.

  •  Foundational Privacy Knowledge:
    • You can demonstrate a general understanding of data protection laws and practices, including the principles of data protection, legal requirements for data processing, and measures to protect personal and sensitive data. You also stay current with the latest privacy and security best practices, laws, and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and effective risk management.
    • You have conducted comprehensive privacy assessments by identifying risks to sensitive information and systems, evaluating the likelihood and potential impact of those risks, and developing and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  • Project Management Expertise: You can effectively manage projects from initiation to closure, including defining project scope, developing project plans and schedules, identifying project risks and issues, monitoring project progress, communicating with stakeholders, managing project resources, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the project sponsor and stakeholders. 
  • Leadership & Oversight Management: You will demonstrate leadership in the direct or indirect management of resources that support our privacy initiatives, ensuring alignment with our privacy goals and efficient utilization of talent and technology.
  • Analytical Prowess: You can apply strategic thinking skills to analyze complex business problems, develop and evaluate strategic options and alternatives, make informed decisions, and implement effective strategies that align with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Collaboration:  
    • You have served as a strategic contributor to broader department decision making, as well as drive key business results by developing strategies and long-term team goals. 
    • You are comfortable navigating a highly collaborative corporate environment and balancing multiple stakeholders and groups to accomplish a goal.
    • You’ve facilitated a variety of successful meetings ranging in size, with diverse audiences.
  • HR Systems Experience: preferred experience with Workday’s ERP for HR privacy process management and understanding of its privacy capabilities to ensure compliance.
  • Employment Law Insight: preferred knowledge of employment law, particularly in the context of data usage and decision-making processes.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
