Summary:
Uses a variety of collection techniques to collect outstanding balances on patient accounts.Responsibilities:
Maintains record of collections activities and status of accounts. Prepares letters and reports as required or requested.Locates and notifies responsible parties of delinquent accounts by mail and/or phone to solicit payment.Contacts appropriate organizations to identify and resolve account collection problems for maximum collection results. Initiates payment plans with responsible parties or refers to collection agency.Collects payments from state and federal agencies, commercial insurance companies, third party organizations and other responsible parties and posts payments to proper accounts. Enters adjustments to accounts as appropriate.Competencies:
