Role and Responsibilities
Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Ad Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across our global advertising operations function. This role will own end-to-end ad operations delivery, coordinate onshore and India-based offshore teams, and serve as a senior partner to Customer Success, Sales, and Clients. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in bridging gaps between CSMs and Ad Operations, ensuring operational transparency, and representing Ad Ops in both internal and client-facing forums, including meetings during core EST/PST business hours.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Ad Operations Leadership
- Deep expertise in ad tech systems, data platforms, and operational workflows.
- Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and guide teams towards scalable, resilient solutions.
- Own and evolve global ad operations strategy, execution frameworks, and governance models.
- Provide senior-level oversight for campaign trafficking, QA, optimization support, troubleshooting, and delivery across platforms.
- Act as the executive escalation point for complex operational, technical, or client-impacting issues.
- Partner with leadership to align ad operations capabilities with revenue growth, client needs, and product roadmap.
- Drive alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders in ambiguous, fast moving environments.
- Anticipate systemic risks and proactively drive mitigation strategies.
- Define program governance models, reporting standards, and executive communication cadences.
- Use metrics and insights to improve ad performance, operational efficiency and revenue outcomes.
- Mentor junior TPMs and help raise the bar for program management excellence.
Cross-Functional & Client Coordination
- Serve as a senior bridge between Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Sales, Clients, and Ad Operations, ensuring clear accountability and seamless execution.
- Lead operational discussions with clients, providing guidance on feasibility, timelines, and best practices.
- Represent Ad Operations in client meetings, QBRs, escalations, and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure transparency through clear communication, documentation, status reporting, and risk management.
Offshore Team Leadership (India Focus)
- Coordinate, Collaborate, and scale India-based offshore Ad Operations teams, ensuring consistent delivery and transparency.
- Establish and optimize workflows across time zones, with clearly defined ownership, handoffs, and escalation paths.
- Foster strong collaboration and cultural alignment between onshore and offshore teams.
Operational Excellence & Process Optimization
- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics across global teams.
- Identify gaps in tools, processes, or resourcing and implement scalable solutions.
- Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across Ad Ops.
- Ensure compliance with platform policies, internal standards, and industry regulations.
- Stakeholder Representation & Coverage
- Attend and lead meetings during core PST hours, supporting stakeholders and leadership.
- Act as the senior Ad Ops representative in cross-functional planning, roadmap discussions, and leadership forums.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to executives on operational health and performance.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Ad Operations, Digital Advertising Operations, or Ad Tech.
- 4+ years of senior people management experience, including leading managers and offshore teams.
- Proven experience working with India-based offshore teams in a scaled operations environment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, and major platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, DV360, Meta, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in client coordination and senior stakeholder management.
- Deep understanding of digital ad trafficking, QA, optimization workflows, and campaign measurement.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in global Ad Tech, Publisher, or Agency environments.
- Proven track record of building and scaling offshore operating models.
- Experience driving automation, workflow optimization, or ad ops tooling enhancements.
- Prior experience presenting to executive leadership or enterprise clients.

Skills and Qualifications
The salary range for this role is expected to be between $150,000 and $185,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
