Meharry Medical College School of Medicine is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented program managers to support MMCSOM’s accreditation initiatives. The program manager will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing activities related to quality improvement programs, ensuring adherence to established standards, and facilitating a culture of continuous improvement within the institution.

Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities):

  • Collect, compile, and organize data related to quality improvement and accreditation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on findings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including meeting minutes and progress reports.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and leadership.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality improvement strategies.
  • Participate in audits and assessments to ensure compliance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

   Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare or academic quality improvement.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health, or a related field. Advanced training or degrees preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality improvement initiatives or healthcare settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting using software such as Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
