JR62787 Senior Grant Data Analyst

This is a varied and challenging position and ideally would suit a qualified professional looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The Senior Grant Data Analyst will support the Grants Management team & business partners in using data to measure performance, inform operational and programmatic decisions, ensure data quality, and improve grant compliances processes.  

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Extract, track and report on grant related information, including grant assets and other claimable items.  
  • Preparing and maintaining grant reports, and related documentation. 
  • Analyzing operations issues, evaluating alternatives, and developing recommendations and strategies 
  • Modifies existing reports and/or develops new reports by analyzing databases, data sources, and structures for the benefit of users 
  • Develop monitoring tools and reports to ensure compliance with grant funding and reporting requirements 
  • Assist in design and development of data visualizations 
  • Define and extract data to support grant activities 
  • Provide relevant training to internal customers and peers 
  • Connect with various business partners and finance analysts on the data structure 
  • Provide support to various partners, such as grant management for grant related activities 
  • Ensure data quality by advising on data structure for new processes as they are built 
  • Presenting grant information to Finance Management 
  • Proactively highlight challenges on grants data to collaborators and address risk and concern 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

Key Skill/Competencies 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills 
  • SAP & Ariba experience highly desirable  
  • Experience in data analysis & result oriented 
  • Good interpersonal skills 
  • Exceptional quantitative problem-solving skills, fluency with data management tools 
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision / direction 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a constantly evolving environment 
  • Ability to think broadly and connect-the-dot on complex matters 
  • Ability to lead change sensitively and in a collaborative manner 
  • Strong communications skills and ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical and/or executive-level staff 

 

Education & Experience 

  • At least 6 years of working experience in relevant field
  • Data mining, management and analysis experience  
  • Experience in developing and analyzing complex reports is highly preferred. 
  • Background in analytics, statistics, information management, financial/business analysis or related fields preferred.  
  • Strong knowledge on finance systems (eg. forecasting tools, CAPEX tools), data extraction, automation, RPA & accounting practices 
  • Grant data management experience preferred
