People Organization Comms Lead – Office of the Chief People Officer

Description -

The Communications Lead will lead all aspects of internal communications pertaining to the Office of the Chief People Officer (CPO) – including People Organization employee communications, stakeholder engagement, and preparing a variety of presentations and communications materials (business reviews, talking points, All Employee Meetings, etc.). This is a terrific, fast-paced role for an experienced communicator and strong writer who enjoys working on high profile, high impact, executive communications.

This communications role will be a trusted partner to the Office of the CPO and be responsible for developing the CPO’s communications strategy and content. The lead will combine a deep understanding of HP/People priorities with disciplined execution and meticulous attention to detail to drive measurable results.

This role reports to the CPO’s Chief of Staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute CPO communications strategy and plan.

  • Oversee content for all CPO employee communications, including board meetings, All Employee Meetings, written content, and other channels used for engaging with employees in the People Organization and HP.

  • Manage and update content on People Central intranet.

  • Prepare talking points for internal and external events.

  • Draft concise, thorough briefing materials used to prepare the CPO for engagements.

  • Partner closely with HP Corporate and Employee Communications to ensure consistent messaging and template/format alignment.

  • Build and maintain relationships with other members of the People Leadership Team to inform CPO communications strategy and content.

  • Implement processes that drive long-term planning, high-quality content gathering, and rigorous execution across all aspects of CPO communications.

Education and Experience Required:

  • University degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or any other related field

  • At least 8-10 years of corporate/strategic communications.

  • A strong written and visual communicator, with experience spanning presentation content, storytelling and talking points.

  • Sound judgement, with the ability to balance short- and long-term priorities in a disciplined manner.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and calmly adapts to change when needed.

  • Facilitation skills – ability/willingness to facilitate various live organizational communications.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • High degree of discretion and strict adherence to confidentiality.

  • Excellent English language skills both written and verbal.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Strong project management and process development skills.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

  • Digital fluency in collaboration tools like Microsoft 365.

The base pay range for this role is $118,050.00 -- $160,550 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
