Position Summary:

MSIG USA is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the strategic development and execution of technology initiatives across our commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance operations. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CTO will drive innovation, enhance system capabilities, and ensure the alignment of IT strategy with the company’s long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the company’s enterprise-wide technology vision and roadmap.

• Lead modernization of legacy systems, digital transformation, and cloud adoption initiatives.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

• Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and enterprise applications.

• Ensure system availability, security, scalability, and resilience to support core underwriting, claims, and policy administration functions.

• Partner with business leaders to integrate technology into product and service offerings, including usage-based insurance, AI-based underwriting, and predictive analytics.

• Lead the design and implementation of digital tools to enhance broker, policyholder, and internal user experience.

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the technology function.

• Establish IT policies, standards, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., NAIC, state insurance departments, data privacy laws).

• Oversee vendor and third-party technology relationships, including contract negotiations and service level agreements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.

• 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, ideally within commercial P&C insurance or a related financial services industry.

• Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration and modernization of core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco).

• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and technology risk management in the insurance space.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technology concepts into business terms.
