Role purpose

The key purpose of the Marketing Executive is the effective tactical execution of key marketing activity and campaigns to deliver the marketing objectives for the centre and to drive the best customer experience for the centre’s trade area. 

The Marketing Executive will support the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager in the development of marketing strategies and the tactical delivery of the Centre’s Marketing plan which will be aligned to the asset segment marketing strategy and the Vision Strategy and Action Plan (VSA’s) for the asset. This will include the local tactical activity plans, creative briefs, content development and national program amplification and execution aligned with the Vicinity Marketing strategy in order to support our retail partners.

Please note this role is permanent part-time 22.8 hours per week.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Understanding of the local competitive landscape and key customer insights to ensure a level of customisation of asset segment programs and relevant Centre marketing strategies to drive local consumer engagement and deliver positive commercial outcomes.

  • In conjunction with the Regional Digital Marketing Specialist implement social and digital activity, monitoring and reporting.

  • Plan and project manage all events, campaigns and activations including install, dismantle, risk assessments and day to day management during each event/ campaign or activation.

  • Strong understanding of retailer businesses and engagement, ensuring regular and meaningful communication and reporting with our retail partners at all times, including the support of new store openings.

  • Legal and compliance duties including briefing of terms and conditions and escalating compliance and governance requirements to the necessary teams

  • Financial/ budgeting duties will include raising purchase orders, processing invoices, monthly forecasting and supporting the Regional Brand and Marketing Manager with the annual budget and planning process.

  • Localise the national ESG strategy including relationship management, community bookings and data reporting.

  • Centre operational support including and not limited to centre walks, duty management, customer service desk assistance, hoarding management, PA announcements, visual merchandising, new store support, warden training, maintaining the marketing storeroom, updating resolve and consumer complaints and onsite contractor support.

  • Administrative and reporting duties will include and are not limited to preparing reports and attending centre, regional and JV meetings; Centre administrative support (from time to time) and the performance management of traffic, sales and campaign PIR’s and compliance reporting.

Experience & Capabilities 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE (what you have done)

  • You will be an experienced marketing professional with competency in modern, results driven marketing. You will have a proven capability in delivering marketing events and activity targeted to meet marketing objectives, identified customer segments and sales categories, driven by a good understanding of the local competitive landscape and key customer insights.

  • Known for your passion and experience in the retail and/or shopping centre marketing industry, you have a reputation for continually nurturing customers, understanding their needs and always delivering on the consumer experience. Your desire to live and breathe the Vicinity brand will see you succeed in this role. A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred.
