Business Lending (BL) is a product and specialised sales team that offers working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate finance, and property finance to our customers. It also has responsibility for Line 1 risk and controls for these products.

BL is directly responsible for product management, process management, portfolio and pricing management and arrears and financial difficulty management. It also works closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital and customer experience teams. Our vision is to be Australia’s leading business bank, by excelling at securing and enhancing the financial wellbeing of people, businesses and communities.

The Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team is a part of the Credit Risk Centre of Excellence (CoE); one of the key functions of this team is to monitor and optimise the Process Performance of the Business Lending portfolio, ensuring exceptional experiences for both our bankers and customers.

As the Senior Manager Performance Analytics and Optimisation, you’ll take a data-driven approach to identify and drive Process Performance improvements. This includes optimising key efficiency metrics such as Time to Decision (TTD), Time to Fund (TTF), and Rework rates. Your role will blend data and analytics expertise with a deep understanding of business lending processes, and you’ll partner closely with stakeholders to enhance both banker and customer experiences.

What will you be doing

  • Data-Driven Reporting: Use tools like Tableau or Power BI to create impactful reporting that provides insights into the drivers of process performance.
  • Assess and Enhance Key Metrics: Partner with key stakeholders to uplift metrics that track banker and customer experiences, such as TTD, TTF, and Rework rates.
  • Problem Solving: Analyse performance data to identify pain points and propose solutions that enhance lending experiences for customers and streamline workflows for bankers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Operations, Frontline, and Risk teams to influence lending process design and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Leadership: Manage and mentor a direct report while prioritizing initiatives that deliver the greatest value for customers and the business.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with adjacent CoE teams to continuously monitor and improve the credit quality outcomes of the BL portfolio.
