Position Title: Nursing Unit Manager - Rankin Court Treatment Centre
Employment Type: Max Term - Maternity Leave Cover - 13/09/2025
Hours per week: 38 hours per week
Position Grade: Nursing Unit Manager, Level 2
Salary: $129235.88 Base pay per annum
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017
Department Name: Rankin Court Treatment Centre, Alcohol and Drug Service

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Rankin Court Treatment Centre.

Rankin Court Treatment Centre is a specialised community based Opioid Treatment Program for people with opioid use dependence. The service provides daily supervised administration of medication as well as drug and alcohol assessment, medication management, care coordination and education using a harm minimisation framework.


Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 is differentiated from a Nursing Unit Manager Level 1 through having overall responsibility for budget and human resource management of a particular service/unit/department. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 maintains a patient flow and patient care focus but is not counted in the unit/departments Nursing Hours per Patient Day. The Nursing Unit Manager Level 2 is typically the manager of a ward.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
3. Recognised post graduate tertiary qualification in a clinical speciality or management (or willingness to undertake same within 12 months) or equivalent relevant experience
4. Demonstrated operational, financial, human resource, workplace health and safety and effective communication / interpersonal skills experience at departmental level
5. Ability to deliver evidenced based, patient centred care within a complex environment
6. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement principles, clinical policy and procedure development and implementation, and a good understanding of current nursing issues
7. Computer literacy in MS Word/Excel, Email and an electronic medical record/ referral system
8. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice
