What you will do

As the HVAC Technology Manager, you will lead and mentor the HVAC pre-sales engineering teams (Chiller Plant Room, Chillers & Airside teams), fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and success. You will oversee the design and implementation of HVAC solutions, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications while staying current with emerging technologies and regulatory changes. Acting as the primary technical liaison team leader, you will address inquiries and provide expert advice to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the sales team and Product & Solutions team to develop tailored HVAC solutions that drive business growth and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards. A key aspect of your role will be designing and implementing training programs to enhance the technical knowledge of team members, promoting continuous learning and a culture of excellence. You will also develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team effectiveness and project success, providing regular updates to senior management on performance and strategic initiatives. By building strong relationships with industry partners and participating in conferences, you will further promote the company’s expertise and stay informed about market developments.

How you will do it

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage Chiller Plant Room, Chillers and Airside pre-sales engineering teams of different regions, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve technical capabilities and customer support for HVAC systems – Chiller Plant Room, Chillers & Airside.

Technical Expertise:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert team leader in HVAC technologies, providing insights into trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging HVAC and associated digital technologies to ensure that the organization's solutions remain relevant and competitive
  • Oversee the development of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations that align with customer requirements and industry standards.

Client Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the sales team and Product & Solutions team to identify customer requirements and develop customized solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to clients, illustrating the benefits of our solutions.

Training & Development:

  • Identify training needs and implement ongoing education programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in HVAC– Chiller Plant Room, Chillers & Airside Technologies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the teams.

Performance Metrics:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team to measure success and drive improvements.
  • Report on team performance and project outcomes to senior management.
  • Ensure Quality deliverables/Solutions are provided to Sales Team on time.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC systems with a strong focus on Chiller Plant Room, Chillers & Airside Products. Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC Systems, installation, and maintenance; familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment with the ability of solution innovation to create a clear differentiator through solutions
  • Good understanding of Energy Performance contracting, Equipment performance management, and smart maintenance regimes.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in large chiller plant rooms.
  • Understanding of local building and electrical codes and regulations.
  • Knowledge in Codes & Standards like AHRI, ASHRAE, NBC, SMACNA, LEED etc
  • Knowledge of energy analysis will be added advantage.
