What you'll be doing

As a Summer Student, Workforce Experience (Analytics), you'll join the Employee Relations team and play a key role in gathering, analyzing, and presenting workforce data and insights. You'll have hands-on exposure to emerging technologies, reporting tools, and business processes that drive improvements in the employee experience across CIBC. Your work will help inform leaders and stakeholders, support the development of innovative solutions, and contribute to ongoing projects that enhance how we understand and manage our workforce. You'll collaborate closely with Employee Relations professionals, participate in team meetings, and help maintain accurate records and tracking tools. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your analytical skills, learn about AI and automation, and make a meaningful impact within a dynamic team.


How you'll succeed

Data Collection & Reporting – Assist with gathering and organizing data from various systems and reporting sources. Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations for leaders and stakeholders. Help maintain accurate records and tracking tools within employee relations case management systems.

Analytics & Insights – Analyze workforce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Support the development of reports using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate. Assist with validating data accuracy and ensuring information is up to date.

Technology & Innovation – Support initiatives involving AI tools, automation, and digital solutions that improve team efficiency. Assist with testing, documenting, and maintaining AI agents and automated workflows. Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve processes.

Presentation & Communication – Create and update PowerPoint presentations and other communication materials. Summarize findings and insights in a clear and concise manner. Collaborate with team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Collaboration & Team Support – Work closely with Employee Relations professionals and business partners on various projects. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and reporting. Provide administrative and project support as required.


Who you are

You're pursuing post-secondary education. You're currently enrolled in a program related to Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, Psychology, Social Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field.
You pay attention to detail. You demonstrate strong organizational skills and ensure accuracy in your work.
You're curious and eager to learn. You embrace new technologies and analytical tools, and seek opportunities to expand your knowledge.
You can interpret information, identify patterns, and contribute to data-driven decision making.
You have strong technical skills. You're proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, or AI tools is considered an asset.
You communicate clearly. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can present findings in a concise manner.
You manage multiple priorities. You thrive in a team environment and can balance competing tasks effectively.
