Do you enjoy problem solving? Do you want to be involved with delivering changes that underpins Aviva strategy ? We’re looking for someone with a PMO skill set, who is passionate about doing the right thing for the change initiatives. The role will be suitable for someone with a proactive attitude, who works well as both part of a team and independently at times.

 

What will you be doing?  

  • Providing day to day support of the Head of Finance Transformation for complex and large scale projects across the key PMO pillars (Governance / Planning / Risk / Financials) so that we can;

  • Proactively highlight deviations, trends and issues ahead of time (Governance)

  • Call out issues/trends/impacts, identifying themes and areas for investigation to support delivery (Planning)

  • Provide confidence that change is managed to clear risk tolerances within an effective system for predictable, no surprises delivery (Risk)

  • Act on behalf of the “Bank Manager” and ensure agreed investment money is spent appropriately and action is taken where it is not

  • Day to day engagement with a range of local stakeholders involved in all aspects of Change activity to drive effective deployed support across areas

 

What we’re looking for? 

  •  A PMO/governance experience with a solid record of delivering change (preferably 2-4 years)

  • A self-starter, able to operate with minimal line intervention, accountable for managing own workload to successful conclusions

  • Strong relationship management skills with senior stakeholders

  • Collaborative in nature with an inquisitive mind; passionate about removing waste and killing complexity

  • Solid understanding of IT and Business Portfolios and strategy

  • Understanding of key change management tools e.g. Planview, PPM, JIRA

  • Understanding of data, can analyse and turn it into insight to support decision making

  • Good facilitation skills – ability to liaise/present to a variety of individuals

  • Methodical, agile mindset

  • Comfortable with leading, negotiating and influencing skills to challenge and drive the necessary changes

  • Experience in insurance/financial industry is nice to have but not mandatory
