Your Team:
The UX team at Seesaw is a passionate and collaborative group dedicated to designing intuitive, impactful experiences for educators, students, and families. We take a research-driven approach, leveraging design thinking, prototyping, and usability testing to create seamless interactions that enhance elementary education technology. We move with agility, balancing creativity with strategy to empower teachers and inspire young learners.

This Senior/Lead Product Designer will join our International Team, a product-centric team that is focused on expanding Seesaw's presence in key growth markets by increasing adoption in private education sectors in 2025. Our approach includes enhancing our existing platform accessibility through localization and language support, as well as building strategic partnerships and features to align with regional educational needs.

Your Role:
As Seesaw’s Senior/Lead Product Designer in Jordan, you’ll play a key role in leading the design efforts for translating and localizing Seesaw's app into Arabic. You'll ensure that the user experience aligns with the needs of Arabic-speaking users and adheres to the best practices and standards of Arabic-language apps. Your work will focus on adapting the platform’s design where needed to be culturally appropriate, accessible, and intuitive, helping Seesaw deliver a seamless experience for educators, students, and families in the region. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all localized versions of the product maintain Seesaw's mission and vision, while also meeting the unique needs of the market.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the design efforts for localizing and translating Seesaw’s platform into Arabic, ensuring alignment with regional design standards and cultural expectations.
• Collaborate closely with other designers, engineering, and product teams to define localization goals, develop design strategies, and ensure a smooth translation and localization process.
• Adapt existing design patterns and structures to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences for Arabic-speaking users while aligning with Seesaw’s overall product design system and brand guidelinesCreate user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and other design documentation to communicate design decisions related to the localization effort.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure output is translated accurately and implemented efficiently, with a focus on high-quality, culturally relevant results.
• Develop and maintain UX documentation to guide the localization process, ensuring consistency and clarity across all translated experiences.
• Conduct user research and usability testing as needed to ensure that localized designs meet the needs and expectations of Arabic-speaking users.
• Advocate for the needs of Arabic-speaking users throughout the design and development process while balancing business goals and technical constraints.
• Once localization efforts are underway, transition into designing new features that align with regional needs and educational standards.
• Manage multiple projects effectively, delivering high-quality design solutions on time and within scope.
• Manage your time towards your deliverables, clearly communicating and setting expectations along the way.
• Demonstrate detail and dedication in your work artifacts creating high-quality deliverables in alignment with business and user goals and priorities.
• Leverage established UX techniques and processes for your analysis and solutions.
• Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals.
• Ensure holistic and coherent solutions in collaboration with design peers.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in product design and user experience.
• Degree or certification in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Information Architecture, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Arabic, with the ability to clearly communicate design concepts and collaborate with international teams.
• Proven experience designing user experiences for apps that support both Arabic and English, with a deep understanding of localization and cultural nuances in UX/UI design for Arabic-speaking users.
• Solid background in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your experience designing intuitive and accessible interfaces for multilingual platforms.
• Familiarity with right-to-left (RTL) design principles and best practices for Arabic language support, ensuring a seamless experience across both Arabic and English versions of the app.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to establish scalable systems within existing constraints.
• Passion for design excellence and a structured design process.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in design software tools such as Figma.
• Familiarity with design research methods.
• Experience in an Agile environment and managing multiple projects.
• Experience working and collaborating with international teams in different timezones.
