What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s Technology Operations Services IT Asset Management team, Sr. Consultant, ITAM Technology & Data Management, you are responsible for driving automation and data optimization initiatives within the IT Asset Management (ITAM) function. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting, data curation, and AI-driven solutions, ensuring high-quality asset visibility and actionable insights for business stakeholders. You will prepare and optimize data input reports for management review, work with ITAM Automation Development Specialists to draft and evaluate technical project plans, and help identify and prioritize automation and AI opportunities with ITAM Operations team members and stakeholders. You will support technology project execution and issue resolution in alignment with CIBC policies and the Enterprise Delivery Framework, conduct research, support implementation, and lead ongoing improvements to automated reporting suites, data curation processes, and AI tools. Additionally, you will utilize approved toolsets to optimize report preparation and data curation, while continuously identifying and recommending opportunities for further enhancements.

How You’ll Succeed                   

  • Requirements Translation & Solution Specification - Translate draft business requirements from the ITAM Governance, Oversight, and Partner Management team into clear technology and functional specifications, ensuring solutions align with business needs.
  • Reporting Process Optimization - Establish and maintain effective toolsets to optimize reporting processes and data curation activities. Continuously seek ways to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
  • Business Case & Resource Planning Support - Assist the ITAM Business Management team in developing business cases, resource plans, and financial requirements for automation and AI initiatives by providing key inputs and recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement and Research - Advance reporting, data curation, and AI processes by conducting research, supporting implementation, and pursuing ongoing enhancements to strengthen asset visibility and data quality.
  • Data Curation Controls & KPI/KRI Reporting - Monitor and manage ITAM data curation controls, inform KPIs and KRIs, and produce monthly and quarterly KPI/KRI reports as established by the ITAM Technology and Data team.

You have experience with business requirements gathering and are adept at translating business needs into clear, actionable technical solutions. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to assess complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. You are familiar with automation tools, AI technologies, and reporting suites, and can effectively leverage these to optimize processes and deliver value. You have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful project outcomes.
