Job Description
As a valued colleague on the Capital Markets Transactions team, you will leverage your business acumen, analytical expertise, and data mining skills to generate insights that support strategic decision-making, optimize program performance, and drive operational excellence for the Capital Markets Pricing Desk, Early Funding and Servicing Marketplace (SMP) programs.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Business Analyst - Capital Markets Pricing Desk role offers the flexibility to make each day your own while working alongside people who care, so you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
Analyze large datasets and develop reports that provide actionable insights to support the Servicing Marketplace, Early Funding programs and other ad hoc requests.
Write and execute data queries to answer complex business questions, identify trends, and deliver timely, data-driven insights with minimal oversight.
Support the day-to-day function of the Early Funding Program by partnering with team members to monitor activity, resolve issues, and ensure successful operations.
Develop recurring and ad hoc reporting to communicate program performance, market activity, and key business metrics to stakeholders.
Partner with stakeholders across Capital Markets and Fannie Mae to evaluate program performance, support strategic initiatives, and inform business decisions.
Conduct analyses to assess business opportunities, program performance, market trends, and portfolio characteristics, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
Build expertise in mortgage servicing, capital markets, and Fannie Mae's business by developing a deep understanding of program structures, industry terminology, and market dynamics.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and business processes while taking increasing ownership of analytical initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and scalability of both programs.
Prepare professional, executive-ready presentations for internal and external audiences, including materials intended for senior leadership review and decision-making.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills by developing effective solutions in situations with incomplete information and no clearly defined path forward.

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences:
At least four years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or similar analytical role.
Demonstrated ability to independently analyze data, solve complex business problems, and communicate findings effectively.
Shows curiosity and adaptability in learning and responsibly applying new technologies, including artificial intelligence, to reimagine how we work.
Desired Experiences:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience using data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, or similar technologies.
Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards to communicate business insights.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, or analytical workflows.
Exposure to capital markets, mortgage banking, mortgage servicing, or financial services is a plus.

The hiring range for this role is set forth below.
