Design the spaces that shape how care is experienced. As Project Manager – Interior Design, you’ll translate vision into environments that elevate healing, support clinical excellence, and bring Stanford Health Care’s brand to life—one space at a time.
This role leads interior design projects for clinical, research, and administrative projects—developing finish palettes, end-to-end FF&E delivery, and interior documentation that elevate safety, durability, and our SHC brand standards. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clinical stakeholders to translate complex needs into functional, inspiring spaces that align with healthcare codes, ADA standards, and sustainability. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with rigor to keep schedules aligned, budgets on track, and details resolved in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Facilities Planning & Design, clinical stakeholders, consultants, and contractors
• Apply interior design standards for finishes, furniture, and branding to ensure consistency and quality
• Bring strengths in project management, design literacy, stakeholder communication, and experience in healthcare, institutional, or corporate environments
• Serve as an individual contributor in a primarily hybrid role based in Palo Alto, CA

A Brief Overview
The Project Manager (PM) leads key organization initiatives for Stanford Health Care. Project Managers are responsible for the coordination and completion of all aspects of project management on assigned projects, including, but not limited to, project scope, project schedule, project budget, project plans, facilitating meetings, documenting requirements, overseeing development, operational workflows, and implementation. Additionally, the Project Manager directs participants in compliance and regulatory alignment efforts.
The Project Manager is responsible for identifying and resolving project issues, making sure the project progresses on schedule and on budget. The PM is the point of communication with stakeholders and is accountable for the project's success. The Project Manager must have strong communication skills in acting as the liaison between the project team, subcontractor, customer, key stakeholders, and senior leadership. The Project Manager has ultimate responsibility for project delivery. The Project Manager may direct the project/senior project coordinator (PC or Sr. PC) to expedite project related tasks.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $62.75 - $83.16 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
