Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a RtR Subject Matter Expert. The Quality & Compliance Team is dedicated to support the Operational Teams to become a best-in-class accounting services provider and an integral part of corporate controlling at RtR.

Your assignment as RtR SME will be primarily to drive Compliance via ownership on documentation and audit support; also to provide technical/operational support so that GL & CAT teams can focus primarily on operational excellence. Your tasks will include driving the RtR SOX & Self-Assessment agenda, SAP testing, incident handling, end-user support (including training) for multiple tools; supporting continuous improvement and process documentation management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:

• Support SOX testing
• First point of contact for audits for RtR
• Owner of RtR SOX & self-assessment agenda
• Owner of process documentation maintenance for RtR
• Owner of document maintenance for RtR
• Provide first line support on SAP, BlackLine, Workiva etc. for RtR Operational Teams
• As a back-up, perform admin tasks for multiple tools
• Support/Provide Newcomer and Refreshment training on the above tools
• Incident handling: raising clarifying questions, registering tickets, manage ticket lifecycle
• Perform SAP testing for projects and CI initiatives
• Support process improvements / CI Initiatives from technical perspective
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in the implementation
• Contribute and support the standardization of processes through documentation and trainings
• Make sure the documentations are in line with the compliance rules and SOX Controls
• Review and analyze existing process maps
• Drive process transitions, different RtR projects

Requirements

• College or university degree preferably in finance/accountancy
• Min. 3-4 years in the relevant field (GL transactions, accounting or finance)
• IFRS and /or EU GAAP experience, exposure to US GAAP is a plus
• Solid SAP FI knowledge; Functional understanding of SAP BI, HANA/S4, Business Objects because Superuser activities are expected
• Any Project Management related certification is a plus
• Advanced communication level in English (both written and verbal)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Good understanding of GL transactional processes
